Help with fundraising
Like all organisations there are running costs that have to be paid but as a charity 1st Walsall Scout Group does not receive any regular income. We therefore rely on fundraising ideas to generate money which benefits both the young people in our group and local communities.
Raise money by shopping online
If you shop online with company's such as amazon.co.uk, John Lewis, PLAY.com, and M&S for a few examples we can receive commission on what you purchase. The best thing about this is it costs you £0.00p whilst still getting those amazing prices.
To find out more visit our shop.
Recycle old print cartridges
One way that we raise money is to collect old inkjet and laser jet cartridges from printers, photocopiers and fax machines. These are then sent to a recycling company who pay a small commission to our Scout Group.
If you own devices that use these consumables or perhaps you throw them away at work or school then we may benefit from them and of course save the environment.
If you believe you can help us please contact the group or speak with one of the Leaders the next time you see them.
Gift aid
Gift aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. Basically the majority of adults pay tax on their earnings and what gift aid does is enable charity's to reclaim the tax on your donation therefore increasing the amount of money you are donating to charity.
More information about gift aid can be obtained from the [e] HM Revenue & Customs website.
If you are interested in signing up for gift aid please contact the group or speak with one of the Leaders the next time you see them.
